Aronson Roofing and Siding · Willow Grove, PA

Roofing, siding and gutters done by the same Willow Grove family for thirty years.

Avi Aronson comes out and does the quote himself. Inspections and estimates are free, the licence number is PA #048593, and the crews that have been reroofing Ardsley Bible Chapel for fifteen years are the crews that will be on your house.

Ardsley Bible Chapel, Jenkintown Road

They needed a steeple put back on a church. We brought a boom truck.

Aronson has looked after this chapel for more than fifteen years. The new roof was the straightforward part. Setting the steeple back on top of it meant bringing the boom truck back a second time, the whole crew guiding it down by hand, and one man working underneath to secure it. Billed on time and materials, because that is the honest way to price a job nobody can quote from a drawing.

What Aronson does

Three trades, one crew, one number to call.

The roof, the siding and the openings in the wall are one envelope. Quoting them separately is how the flashing ends up being somebody else's problem.

Shingle, slate, cedar, metal and rubber. Repairs, full tear offs, and the storm call at two in the morning.

Most roofs around here fail in the same few places, and none of them is the middle of the field. It is the flashing at the chimney, the valleys where two planes meet, and the eaves after a freeze and thaw winter has driven ice back up under the first course. We strip to the deck so we can see what the old roof was hiding, replace anything soft, and run ice and water membrane at the eaves and valleys before the first shingle goes on.

GAF, CertainTeed, Owens Corning and Tamko. Slate and cedar are their own trade and we still do both, including matching an existing slate field rather than talking you into a tear off.

Roofing in detail

Cedar shingle, clapboard, dutch lap and vinyl, ventilated soffit, and seamless gutters run on the same visit.

What sits behind the siding decides how long the siding lasts. When the old course comes off we are looking at sheathing, house wrap and whether the soffit was ever ventilated properly. Then the profile: the reveal line you choose sets the horizontal rhythm of the whole elevation, and it is the single decision that most changes how a house reads from the street.

CertainTeed, Mastic and Variform. Trim, capping and corner boards are where a siding job is actually judged, so they are quoted as part of the work rather than as an extra.

Siding and gutters in detail

Replacement vinyl windows, entry and patio doors, and capping that stops the trim needing paint.

Double hung, casement and awning, bay and bow, sliders and specialty shapes, from Simonton and Pella. Energy efficient is a phrase that only means something once you look at the glass package, the frame and the install detail together, and it is the install detail that decides whether the other two ever perform. Doors from Therma Tru: entry, patio, sliding glass, storm and French.

Capping is the finish that lasts. Wood eaves, window and door trim, and garage door trim wrapped so it stops being something you repaint every few years.

One thing that really stood out was how clean they left everything when the jobs were finished. They took great care of our property and didn't leave behind any mess, debris, or stray nails.

No. Roof inspections and estimates are free, and Avi Aronson comes out and does the quote visit himself rather than sending a salesperson.

Yes. Slate and cedar are their own trade and a lot of contractors will only quote a tear off. We repair and match existing slate fields as well as installing new slate, cedar, metal and rubber.

Emergency storm damage is covered 24 hours. Call (267) 688-3163 and describe what you can see from the ground. If water is coming in we will get the roof made safe first and quote the permanent repair afterwards.

Roofing from GAF, CertainTeed, Owens Corning and Tamko. Siding from CertainTeed, Mastic and Variform. Windows from Simonton and Pella, and Therma Tru for entry doors.

Yes. Pennsylvania Contractor's License PA #048593, and we carry insurance. Both are on the paperwork before any crew starts.

That is usually the sensible way to do it. The eaves are already open and staged, so seamless gutters, guards and cleaning cost less done on the same visit than as a separate call later.

A stain on a bedroom ceiling, a shingle in the garden after a storm, or siding that has gone chalky. Describe it on the phone and we will tell you whether it needs somebody out this week or whether it can wait for the dry season.
